Wilde
Wilde is a handmade dinnerware set that puts an emphasis on natural materials and forms. Each piece was made entirely by hand to create an organic feel, with slight variations from piece to piece. No two pieces are exactly alike. The surfaces of the ceramic goods are covered with the indents of my fingers from forming them, while the metal cutlery shows the natural patina and imperfections that come with metalwork. This collection creates a connection between maker, material, and audience.
The ceramics are made out of reclaimed black clay using a pinch pot technique. The metal cutlery was hand-cut, filed, and finished out of nickel and copper off-cuts.
